Jimmy on Ninja Camp Roof at the Citadel. The weather was terrible the night before we got there. What's more, this problem is in the wettest part of the place! Nevertheless, Jimbo crushes (as usual).
Remember, this ain't MVM here, I'm working with a canon powershot. So...please enjoy my out-of-focus video! Oh, and it's not in slow-mo either...he just sticks to wet boulders somehow.

do the boulders tend to dry quickly, or do they seep for a few days after a hard rain? stuff in colorado seems to take a few hours to dry whereas the limestone of my home area [niagara glen] will continue to seep for days and sometimes WEEKS.

Yo sock hands, places like Rocktown, LRC, and Horsepenis tend to dry real fast since they are at "elevation" and get more wind/exposure. See...here in the south we have this stuff called trees/vegetation, which totally screws with drying times and add to humidity.
Not much limestone down here, except for some DWS spots. But with wet hands, limestone is awesome but makes for soapy climbing fo' sho'.

ps: all my questions about the south's climbing are related to a long-range plan that my wife is hatching... gotta do MY research to see if i should resist or support the coup d'etat.
so far, i'm all in... just may take a few years.

Man, I've lived all over this country but grew up here. I'm inching closer by the day to making this place permanently my home.
One crazy thought I had at Rocktown a few weeks ago was that the rock down here is so friendly as far as pain tolerance goes, you typically don't have Bishop-esque toothy-polished granite, nor as many Hueco razors. My point: when I'm old and have arthritis and everything hurts I'd rather be pulling on the rounded holds of the south.
