Some say 2nd is the first loser...I say nay. Being the second locale for the Triple Crown Bouldering Series, Horsepens 40 is one of the most unique bouldering areas a climber can visit. Complete with showers, restaurant, and funnel cakes HP40 is a 5-star resort for the bouldering elite. With some of the finest sandstone in the world, HP40 brings world-class competitors. Some of the biggest stars have been known to make cameos. The likes of Paul Robinson, Tony Lamiche, Max Zolotukhin, Chris Sharma, Daniel Woods, Wes Powell, and Sanders, etc. feel that 40 acres of Alabama bouldering is definately worth the journey. (Alright, enough with the hype and this bullshit tone I'm using (for a second), let's cut to the chase. So Paul won! Tony got second, and Max got third. As for the women, Kate won! Everyone climbed hard, except for me. Although I did do Litz Pocket for the first time!)
